Rachel Warmath, Book Shaman

I’ll guide you to write the book your soul came here to write.

What is a book shaman?

Meet Rachel

A woman with long dark hair, glasses, and tattoos on her arms, smiling while writing on a notepad with a pen.

I’m Rachel Warmath—a trauma-informed ghostwriter, developmental editor, and book shaman. I help authors tell extraordinary stories and create beautifully crafted books that change lives.

For more than a decade, I’ve supported coaches, founders, healers, and survivors in shaping transformational memoirs and nonfiction. My background blends editorial mastery with training in nervous-system regulation, Internal Family Systems, somatic practices, shamanism, Reiki, the Akashic Records, and intuitive practices.

This means I don’t just help you “get the words on the page.” I help you navigate the emotional terrain of telling the truth, stay resourced through the hard parts, and bring your story forward with clarity, precision, and depth.

As a book shaman, I hold space for what your book is becoming—and who you are becoming as you write it. Together, we create a manuscript that reflects your evolution and serves the readers who need your story most.

The Book Shaman Ghostwriting Framework

An intuitive, trauma-informed, soul-level writing process for visionary women whose lived experience is the source of their power.

This is ghostwriting with depth.

PHASE 1 — Story Excavation

We begin by slowing down, grounding, and opening the space. The interview process is focused on creating safety and clarity so you know where your book is leading you.

Together we explore:
• What you lived through and what it taught you
• The core transformation at the heart of your work
• The method you now teach—and where it came from
• The real purpose of your book (for you + your readers)

You’ll feel seen, understood, and held. And by the end of phase one, we’ll have a clear map of the emotional, spiritual, and structural threads that will shape your manuscript.

PHASE 2 — Narrative Architecture

Here, we translate what you’ve lived into a narrative arc while exploring the voice, tone, and style of the book.

This phase includes:
• Crafting an outline or Table of Contents
• Zeroing in on your true voice (how you speak, think, and teach)
• Determining scenes, stories, teachings, and pacing
• Designing a structure that moves readers and elevates your authority

This is where your lived wisdom becomes a readable, compelling, high-impact book.

Outcome: A complete outline + a sample chapter written in your exact voice.

PHASE 3 — Shadow Work & Depth Work

This is where most ghostwriters simply “go write the book.”
But my process is different.

While I’m busy drafting chapters, I also support you with the healing side of becoming an author:
• Emotional processing around sharing your story
• Nervous-system support and somatic embodiment work
• Support around visibility, truth-telling, and being seen
• Shadow work around the parts of you the book is calling forward

Powerful healing sessions happen alongside shaping your story and method into chapters. The book is becoming clearer, and so are you.

Outcome: A full, working manuscript draft + personal shifts that support your next level.

PHASE 4 — Refinement & Integration

You receive your draft—and instead of feeling overwhelmed, you feel supported.

Together, we refine the book through:
• Developmental edits and some line-level refinement
• Clarifying nuance, tone, and the emotional impact
• Ensuring your method lands powerfully and accurately
• Strengthening your author presence and platform

This phase ensures your book is not only beautifully written, but energetically aligned with the woman you are now—not the woman you were when the story began.

Outcome: A polished, high-impact manuscript that feels true, grounded, and powerful.

PHASE 5 — Legacy & Expansion

Your book is a portal into your next level of success in business and life. This phase prepares you (and your business) to step into what the book makes possible.

We explore:
• How this book elevates your brand and authority
• New offers, higher pricing, keynote topics, or program upgrades your book unlocks
• Emotional preparation for sharing your story publicly
• Strategic next steps for publishing and launch

You leave not only with a finished manuscript, but with the grounded inner readiness to become the woman this book will introduce to the world.

Outcome: A clear path forward for publishing, launch, visibility, and long-term impact. Note: most ghostwriters don’t touch these topics. They simply want to write the manuscript and pass it off to you. I’m here to go deeper than that and ensure that you’re prepared to actually launch your book, and the next level of impact you’re stepping into.

Your story is sacred.

If you’ve felt the call from your soul to write a book, you’ve likely discovered that this journey of becoming an author is no small thing.
This is spiritual work.
This is identity work.
This is initiation.

And that’s why I consider myself a book shaman, not just a ghostwriter, editor, and coach.

The shaman is the one who sees in the dark.

The one who supports people through emotional, energetic, and spiritual thresholds, the places where something old needed to die and something new needed to be born.

A book shaman does the same, but through the medium of story.

I am here to support authors who want more than just a book in their hands at the end of our work together. I work with the ones who are shifting their inner identity and becoming emotionally stronger and more courageous along the way.

Your story has power. I’m here to help you claim that power and step into it.

Hey, I’m Rachel Warmath and I’m a book shaman, professional ghostwriter, developmental editor, and book coach specializing in memoir and non-fiction.

I combine editorial strategy, nervous system regulation, trauma-informed writing, internal family systems work, and over a decade of publishing and marketing experience to create truly transformational spaces where my author clients can thrive and grow.

I’m so glad you’re here.

Let’s step into the book writing portal together!

Reach Out About Your Book

The shaman is the one who sees in the dark

What is a book shaman?

A book shaman is a guide who helps you navigate the emotional, energetic, and spiritual layers of writing a book. I support you with the healing and inner transformation that naturally unfold when you tell your story. I help you learn to trust yourself and your soul gifts. Your manuscript becomes a portal into a new identity—and I support you in embracing and embodying that new identity.

Most publishing professionals only focus on what's on the page. I help you see what's happening beneath the surface, too.

You won’t be the same person you were before after writing your book.
